Jakarta – PT Jamkrindo commemorated Indonesia’s 76th Independence Day by embracing the spirit of solidarity and sharing. In celebration of this milestone, the largest credit guarantee company in Indonesia distributed hundreds of staple food packages to underprivileged communities. The aid distribution took place during the second week of August, specifically on Thursday, August 12, 2021, in Serang, Banten, targeting beneficiaries such as waste collectors, street sweepers, and other low-income workers.
PT Jamkrindo’s President Director, Putrama Wahju Setyawan, emphasized that this initiative was not the first of its kind during the pandemic.
"Throughout the pandemic, Jamkrindo has continuously provided assistance through the Jamkrindo Peduli (Jamkrindo Cares) Program, covering health, social welfare, and education. For instance, during Jamkrindo's 51st anniversary on July 1, 2021, we distributed 5,100 food packages, 5,100 health kits, and financial aid to 1,000 orphans," said Putrama Wahju Setyawan in a press release on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.
Jamkrindo’s aid efforts also include: Ambulance donations for public healthcare, Scholarships for the children of healthcare workers and honorary employees, Support for educational facilities
The theme of Indonesia’s 76th Independence Day, "Indonesia Tangguh, Indonesia Tumbuh" (Resilient Indonesia, Growing Indonesia), reflects the nation's perseverance and unity in overcoming challenges. "This assistance embodies our spirit of solidarity in alleviating the burdens of those affected by the pandemic," Putrama added.
Beyond social contributions, PT Jamkrindo plays a key role in Indonesia’s economic recovery, particularly in supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The company has been entrusted as a credit guarantor for working capital loans (KMK) under the National Economic Recovery (PEN) Program.
