PT Jamkrindo has been recognized as the Best Credit Guarantee Company for the People's Business Credit (KUR) Program in 2021, receiving the top award at the KUR Award event organized by Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. The award was presented by Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Teten Masduki to PT Jamkrindo’s President Director, Putrama Wahju Setyawan, on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
The ceremony was attended by several key government officials, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, and Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
During the event, Coordinating Minister Airlangga Hartarto emphasized the government's commitment to boosting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the KUR program.
"In 2022, the government has increased the KUR ceiling to IDR 373.17 trillion. With this increase, we hope MSMEs will be even more motivated to grow," he stated in his speech.
Minister Teten Masduki highlighted the crucial role of credit guarantee companies in expanding access to financial institutions for MSMEs.
"Credit guarantee companies play a vital role in the KUR program, enabling banks to be more confident and progressive in lending to MSMEs. Many MSMEs struggle with collateral requirements, and that’s why credit guarantees must become more progressive in supporting KUR distribution," he explained.
President Director of PT Jamkrindo, Putrama Wahju Setyawan, expressed gratitude for the recognition and affirmed the company’s commitment to continuous innovation while maintaining prudent financial practices to support MSMEs.
In 2021, PT Jamkrindo guaranteed KUR loans amounting to IDR 130.3 trillion, a significant increase from IDR 90.4 trillion in 2020. Putrama also acknowledged the government’s strong commitment to MSME development through various policy measures, including the KUR program.
"The KUR program is a highly strategic initiative to strengthen business capital and accelerate the development of the real sector and MSME empowerment. We are honored to be entrusted with this role, and our achievement as the Best KUR Guarantee Company is the result of strong support from all stakeholders and strategic business partners," Putrama stated.
Looking ahead to 2022, PT Jamkrindo has outlined several strategies to enhance KUR distribution, including: Developing a more robust guarantee system, Optimizing human resources across all company units, Enhancing service quality and strengthening collaboration with KUR-distributing banks
"Through innovation and collaboration with our KUR distribution partners, we aim to provide easier access to credit guarantees and support the national KUR distribution targets," Putrama added.
Since 2018, PT Jamkrindo has consistently been recognized as the best KUR guarantee company at the KUR Awards. This prestigious award acknowledges regional governments, lenders, and supporting institutions that play a key role in the successful implementation of the KUR program.
The evaluation process was conducted by a review panel led by Iskandar Simorangkir, Deputy for Macro-Economic and Financial Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. The panel included representatives from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Ministry of Home Affairs, Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), and Universitas Indonesia.
