Jakarta – In its continued commitment to supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), PT Jamkrindo is expanding its financial accessibility efforts through credit guarantee services. As it marks its 52nd anniversary on July 1, 2022, the company remains dedicated to delivering superior services to its partners and MSME entrepreneurs across Indonesia.
As Indonesia’s largest credit guarantee institution, Jamkrindo plays a key role in supporting government programs designed to protect, sustain, and strengthen the economic capacity of MSMEs. This includes: Working Capital Credit (KMK) guarantees under the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program, and People’s Business Credit (KUR) guarantees.
According to President Director of PT Jamkrindo, Putrama Wahju Setyawan, the company’s efforts have yielded significant results.
"As of the first quarter of 2022, Jamkrindo has facilitated KUR guarantees amounting to IDR 51.44 trillion, a 72% increase from the previous year’s IDR 29.88 trillion. This has benefited over 1.2 million MSMEs," Putrama stated.
He also praised the government’s commitment to MSME development through comprehensive policy initiatives, particularly the KUR program.
"KUR is a highly strategic initiative that strengthens business capital and accelerates real sector growth. We are grateful for the trust placed in us to play a role in this program," he said in a press release on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
To support national KUR distribution targets, Jamkrindo has outlined several key strategies, including: Developing an advanced guarantee system, Optimizing human resources across all operational units, Enhancing service quality, and Strengthening collaborations with KUR distribution partners.
"Through continuous innovation and collaboration with our partners, we strive to make credit guarantees more accessible, ultimately supporting the government’s MSME financing objectives," Putrama added.
Beyond KUR, Jamkrindo also provides various credit guarantees, including: Working Capital Credit (KMK) under the PEN program, Microcredit guarantees, General credit guarantees, Construction and procurement guarantees, and Supply Chain Financing (Invoice Financing) guarantees.
Jamkrindo is also committed to capacity-building programs for MSMEs, helping them scale their businesses through hands-on assistance. Some of the mentorship programs include: Cashew farmer groups in Larantuka, Homestay associations in Ciletuh, Sukabumi, and Coffee farmers in Garut, West Java.
In Ciletuh, mentorship activities are integrated with a sustainable anti-plastic waste campaign, reflecting Jamkrindo’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) initiatives.
"These empowerment programs are a continuous effort to uplift MSMEs and ensure sustainable business practices," Putrama said.
During Ramadan 2022, Jamkrindo also engaged in various social initiatives, including: Distribution of 5,200 food aid packages, Donation of 5,200 pairs of shoes to underprivileged students, Financial assistance for orphans, and Quran distribution to religious institutions.
"These activities are part of our lead-up to Jamkrindo’s 52nd anniversary celebrations on July 1, 2022," Putrama stated.
