Sukabumi Regency – PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) is promoting the enhancement of soft skills, particularly social skills, in participants of the Certified Student Internship Program (PMMB) through social projects in the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark area. This social activity is expected to serve as an experiential learning opportunity for all PMMB participants to develop their competencies.
Sulis Usdoko, Director of Human Resources, General Affairs, Compliance, and Information Technology at PT Jamkrindo, stated that the theme for the PMMB program adopted by Jamkrindo is "Build People, Build The Future." Through this theme, Jamkrindo's activities aim not only to provide an opportunity for young talents to directly engage in the workforce but also to prepare the next generation of leaders who possess excellent competencies and are responsive to the changes of the times.
"We not only equip the internship participants with hard skills but also with the soft skills needed to become future leaders. The involvement of the internship participants in this social project is expected to enhance their leadership competencies, emotional intelligence, and foster a social spirit in line with the core values of SOEs, namely AKHLAK (Amanah, Kompeten, Harmonis, Loyal, Adaptif, Kolaboratif)," said Sulis.
In this social project, 47 internship participants were placed in 8 districts within the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark area. In these districts, they carried out various activities including providing educational assistance, running an anti-plastic waste campaign, and educating about hepatitis and COVID-19 in elementary schools.
The social project activities also involved the company’s Officer Development Program (ODP) participants, acting as team leaders in each district. "This program is not the first time we have carried out such activities. We have organized this event three times," said Sulis.
The educational assistance provided includes the establishment of reading gardens for 3 schools in the Waluran, Ciemas, and Ciracap districts, as well as the provision of shoes for students in 5 districts, namely Palabuhanratu, Simpenan, Cisolok, Cikakak, and Surade.
Nina Marlina, the Head of SDN 3 Gunung Batu Ciracap, expressed her gratitude for the reading garden facilities provided by Jamkrindo. She hopes that the reading garden will encourage students to become more enthusiastic about learning. "We hope that the presence of this reading garden can improve the literacy interest of students at SDN 3 Gunung Batu," she said.
