During the holy month of Ramadan 1444 H, PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) held a Safari Ramadan and social activities in Palembang on Tuesday (4/4/2023).
The Safari Ramadan initiative also marked the lead-up to Jamkrindo's 53rd anniversary, which will be celebrated on July 1, 2023. Social activities conducted included distributing food packages, providing donations to orphans, and donating equipment for Islamic Education Centers (TPQ).
Hendro Padmono, President Director of PT Jamkrindo, stated that the Safari Ramadan is part of the company's Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.
“This initiative demonstrates Jamkrindo's commitment to being present for the community, aligning with this year's Ramadan theme: ‘Ramadan Full of Meaning with Sharing,’” said Hendro Padmono in a press release.
Hendro emphasized that distributing food packages and supporting orphans are routine activities carried out by PT Jamkrindo as a form of social care. “We hope this assistance provides meaningful benefits to the community,” he added.
During the Safari Ramadan in Palembang, Jamkrindo distributed 800 food packages, donated to 48 orphans, and provided essential equipment for Islamic Education Centers (TPQ).
The assistance was symbolically handed over by Suwarsito, Director of Finance, Investment, and Risk Management at PT Jamkrindo, to Sari Puspita, the Chairperson of the Orphanage at Panti Peduli Anak Yatim, on April 4, 2023.
Sari Puspita expressed her gratitude to Jamkrindo. “Thank you to Jamkrindo. May the company continue to succeed and contribute to improving societal welfare,” she said.
The Safari Ramadan activities were conducted throughout Ramadan at 11 Jamkrindo operational units spread across Indonesia, including Jakarta, Padang, Palembang, Sumbawa Besar, Balikpapan, Pekalongan, Pontianak, Tasikmalaya, Jayapura, and Banyuwangi.
Nationwide, Jamkrindo distributed 7,937 free food packages, supported 771 orphans, and provided TPQ equipment to 11 mosques.
