Jakarta—Marking Ramadan and the upcoming 53rd anniversary of PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) on July 1, 2023, the company organized a Safari Ramadan program across multiple regions.
The program included various social initiatives, such as distributing food aid packages, providing donations to orphans, supplying TPQ (Islamic educational) equipment, and donating Braille Qurans.
Jamkrindo's President Director, Hendro Padmono, stated that the Safari Ramadan activities are part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental Responsibility initiatives. The theme for this year’s Ramadan is "Ramadan Penuh Arti dengan Berbagi" (A Meaningful Ramadan Through Sharing).
“Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition to an endemic phase, Jamkrindo has continued to grow and positively impact the corporation and its holding group,” Hendro said.
He added that distributing food aid and providing support for orphans is a routine activity reflecting the company’s social care mission. “We hope this assistance brings meaningful benefits to the community,” he said in a press release.
The Safari Ramadan program was conducted throughout Ramadan across 11 Jamkrindo units located in various parts of Indonesia, including Jakarta, Padang, Palembang, Sumbawa Besar, Balikpapan, Pekalongan, Pontianak, Tasikmalaya, Jayapura, and Banyuwangi.
Nationally, Jamkrindo distributed 7,937 free food packages, provided support for 771 orphans, and supplied TPQ equipment to 11 mosques. In addition, the company donated Braille Qurans to institutions like Yayasan Cikal Cendikia Salsabila, Yayasan Annur, Yayasan Cahaya Alam, Yayasan Aisyiyah, Majelis Ta'lim Nurul Iksan, Al Marhamah, and Rumah Aspirasi Indonesia Tuna Netra, with the symbolic handover held at the company’s headquarters in Jakarta.
Siti Nurbaya, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her gratitude: “Thank you, Jamkrindo. May the company continue to succeed and contribute to improving the welfare of the community.”
