JAKARTA – PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) once again takes a pivotal role in supporting the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Indonesia. This time, Jamkrindo has launched the 2023 MSME Business Class, an initiative aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of MSME actors.
The 2023 MSME Business Class serves as a strategic effort by Jamkrindo to provide guidance and training for MSMEs to unlock their business potential. Under the theme 'Smart MSMEs, Growing Economy', this initiative highlights Jamkrindo’s concrete support for MSMEs as the driving force of the national economy.
"This is one of Jamkrindo's initiatives to support MSMEs. As we know, MSMEs play a critical role in shaping Indonesia's economic condition," said Anggit Murdiwibowo, Deputy Head of Institutional Relations Division II at Jamkrindo, in a press release on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
According to data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) as of March 2021, there are 64.2 million MSMEs in Indonesia, contributing 61.07% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), amounting to IDR 8,573.89 trillion.
Enhancing Competence to Face Challenges
Anggit emphasized the importance of improving MSME competence in navigating increasingly complex business challenges. "The 2023 MSME Business Class is a tangible form of Jamkrindo's commitment to helping MSMEs improve their business quality by enhancing their knowledge and skills," he said.
The training program provides comprehensive sessions for participants over several weeks, covering topics such as entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, business legality, human resource management, and operational management. Participants will also receive mentoring from seasoned professionals in their respective fields.
"In addition to the material provided, we have prepared professional mentors who will assist participants in achieving their specific business goals over the next three months," Anggit added.
A Milestone Celebration
This MSME training initiative is also part of the social activities marking Jamkrindo's 53rd anniversary, celebrated on July 1, 2023. The program will run eight sessions in both offline and online formats.
Through the 2023 MSME Business Class, Jamkrindo aims to make a significant impact by improving the competence and success rate of MSME actors in Indonesia. Furthermore, this program is expected to expand Jamkrindo’s reach as an MSME guarantor, enabling more MSMEs to access services and safeguard against business risks.
