Jamkrindo Consistently Fosters Collaboration to Accelerate MSME Transformation

Jakarta – PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) consistently fosters synergy and collaboration to accelerate the transformation of productive and competitive micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This commitment is demonstrated through Jamkrindo’s active participation in government-led strategic programs, such as the People’s Business Credit (KUR) initiative, and other capacity-building initiatives for MSMEs.

Aribowo, Corporate Secretary of Jamkrindo, highlighted the company’s role as Indonesia’s leading guarantee provider in enhancing financial accessibility for MSMEs.

“Our commitment is reflected in a variety of credit guarantee services that enable MSMEs to access financing from financial institutions while also providing mentoring and support programs to make them more competitive,” he said.

Aribowo emphasized that MSMEs are the backbone of Indonesia’s economy.

“In our efforts to develop MSMEs, Jamkrindo adopts the Pentahelix collaboration model, ensuring a greater economic impact,” he added.

As of the first half of 2023, Jamkrindo achieved a guarantee volume of Rp 176.94 trillion, covering 5.22 million MSMEs. Among these, the KUR program contributed Rp 54.03 trillion, benefiting 1.05 million MSMEs.

Through Jamkrindo’s credit guarantees, feasible but unbankable MSMEs gain access to much-needed financing. This effort significantly boosts financial inclusion and accessibility for MSMEs.

As part of its collaboration and synergy efforts, Jamkrindo participated in the National MSME Day EXPO 2023 held in Surakarta on August 12, 2023. The event featured Jamkrindo as a key contributor to the forum and workshop themed “Synergy and Collaboration of Stakeholders to Accelerate the Transformation of Productive and Competitive MSMEs.”

Jamkrindo also showcased two of its mentored MSMEs, KATBAG (a bag manufacturer) and Batik CJ (a batik producer).

“We greatly appreciate Indonesia’s Minister of Cooperatives and MSMEs, Mr. Teten Masduki, for visiting the booth of our mentored MSMEs,” Aribowo said.

During the event, Jamkrindo also introduced UMKM Layak (umkmlayak.co.id), a platform designed to help MSMEs access financial services. This digital marketplace connects MSMEs with financial institutions offering loans, with Jamkrindo acting as the credit guarantor. The platform also provides training materials and resources to support MSMEs in their business development.

“Training and mentoring MSMEs are inseparable from Jamkrindo’s business. We continuously strive to enhance MSMEs’ business capabilities, enabling them to transform and elevate their status,” Aribowo explained.
