Yogyakarta – PT Jamkrindo Advances Livestock Empowerment Program in Yogyakarta and Klaten
PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) continues its community empowerment initiative in the livestock sector through a series of training sessions and hands-on field practices in Yogyakarta and Klaten, Central Java. This program extension is part of the company’s celebration of its 53rd anniversary.
For two consecutive years, Jamkrindo has been running a goat and sheep farmer empowerment program in Yogyakarta and Klaten, which began in 2022. The initiative focuses on providing training in livestock breeding and feed management.
On Wednesday and Thursday (August 30–31, 2023), PT Jamkrindo held a livestock training program at Peace Village, Sleman, Yogyakarta, and Klaten, Central Java. The program featured experts, including drh. Budi Pramono, Haryono, S.Pt, Ismail Mashudi, S.Pt, and Maharyanto Nugroho, who shared their expertise with participants. The event was also attended by Antoro Asih, the Branch Leader of Jamkrindo Yogyakarta.
Aribowo, Corporate Secretary of Jamkrindo, stated that the company remains committed to empowering communities and strengthening local economies while supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Just like last year, we’re using the momentum of Jamkrindo’s 53rd anniversary as an opportunity to contribute directly to the community through training activities,” Aribowo explained.
In 2022, Jamkrindo collaborated with various stakeholders to conduct training on livestock breeding and feed management for Islamic boarding school students (santri). Building on that success, this year’s program expanded to include both santri and local livestock farming communities in Yogyakarta and Klaten. The training aimed to enhance participants’ capabilities in several critical areas, including: Animal health management, Livestock business analysis, Opportunities in goat farming, Breeding, farming, and feed management techniques.
In addition to its goat farmer training programs, PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) is also empowering honeybee farmers in Temanggung, Central Java. Jamkrindo is currently supporting the Sumber Nektar beekeeping group, which consists of 10 honeybee farmers specializing in cultivating Apis mellifera honeybees.

As of the first half of 2023, Jamkrindo recorded a total guarantee volume of Rp 176.94 trillion, benefiting 5.22 million MSMEs. Of this, KUR (People’s Business Credit) guarantees accounted for Rp 54.03 trillion, supporting 1.05 million MSMEs.
