JAKARTA - PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) continues to play an essential role in supporting the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) in Indonesia. As part of its support for UMKM, Jamkrindo brought 21 UMKM products to the Pasar Senggol Festival held in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Pasar Senggol Turkiye is an Indonesian economic and cultural festival, initiated by the Indonesian Consulate General in Istanbul, the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) World, and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). The festival aims to promote Indonesian culture and serve as a platform for Indonesian entrepreneurs in Turkey, particularly those in the food and culinary industry.
At the event, state-owned enterprises (BUMN) were actively involved in opening opportunities for UMKM players to expand their export markets and establish partnerships with international business players, especially in Turkey. Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir hopes that BUMN-supported UMKM will reach broader international markets.
Aribowo, the Secretary of PT Jamkrindo, explained that this is not the first time Jamkrindo has assisted in marketing UMKM in the international arena. Jamkrindo has made various efforts to encourage UMKM to enter global markets. These include bringing its partners to national and international exhibitions, such as in Malaysia, Korea, the Netherlands, and other countries. "We are always open to synergy and collaboration to drive the transformation of productive and competitive UMKM," said Aribowo.
In addition to encouraging UMKM to export, Jamkrindo also continues to push for the optimization of the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) in the procurement of goods and services. This aligns with the Increased Use of Domestic Products Program (P3DN) to enhance the competitiveness and productivity of the national industry.
In carrying out procurement of goods and services, the company always prioritizes domestic components. This is a form of support for the National Movement to Support Indonesian Products (Gernas BBI) launched by the government. "As the use of local products increases, we expect a rise in national utilization, which will eventually increase industry efficiency, enabling it to compete in the global market," said Aribowo.
In line with the government's vision to increase the role of UMKM in the national economy, Jamkrindo is also actively participating in transactions for goods and services on the PaDi UMKM Digital Market. PaDi UMKM is a platform initiated by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, together with BUMN companies, to monitor BUMN’s contributions to UMKM across Indonesia. The platform makes it easier for UMKM to market their products/services and facilitates procurement between state-owned enterprises and UMKM. "Using PaDi UMKM is one of our commitments to support the advancement of the UMKM digital ecosystem," said Aribowo.
