JAKARTA – PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) once again plays a vital role in supporting the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. As part of its commitment to MSMEs, Jamkrindo organized a series of workshops under the theme “Managing Financial Reports for MSMEs & Socialization of the UMKM Layak Platform.”
The workshop was held at the Disperindagkop UKM Kaltim building, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. The speakers included Ms. Henny Purwaningsih, Acting Head of Disperindagkop UKM Kaltim, Mr. Donald Mathius George, Head of Jamkrindo Samarinda Branch, and Mr. Roy Baskoro, CEO of Layanan UMKM Naik Kelas (LUNAS).
Separately, Anggit Murdiwibowo, Deputy Head of Institutional Relations Division II at PT Jamkrindo, revealed that this workshop targeted around 60 participants from MSMEs in Samarinda. Participants received training materials such as an introduction to Jamkrindo & its guarantee services, as well as theoretical and practical lessons on managing financial reports for MSMEs.
“This workshop is a tangible form of Jamkrindo's support for MSMEs in Indonesia, providing training and consultations to enhance the skills and knowledge of MSME actors, making it easier for them to manage and grow their businesses,” Anggit said in a press release on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
In addition, MSME players were provided with materials on financial management and the use of Google My Business as a digital marketing tool. Currently, Anggit noted, MSMEs in Indonesia face various challenges, including funding, product distribution, human resource quality/competence, innovation, online marketing optimization, financial record-keeping, and access to financial institution information.
“Jamkrindo understands the difficulties faced by MSMEs in Indonesia. Therefore, we provide training on the importance of financial management, including digital financial reporting. This digital financial reporting tool simplifies transaction recording without requiring knowledge of accounting basics,” he explained.
The workshop also included the socialization of the UMKM Layak platform, a tool for analyzing MSME business feasibility and a platform that connects MSMEs with training opportunities in the business sector.
As the largest guarantee company in Indonesia, Jamkrindo continues to innovate to improve the financial accessibility of MSMEs and cooperatives by introducing the “UMKM Layak” guarantee marketplace.
The UMKM Layak platform features various tools, including MSME Financing with Business Condition Assessment & Financing Access Facilitation. It also offers MSME Training and Assistance features, which include MSME Sharing Materials, MSME Discussion Forums, and Business Training Information.
For context, Jamkrindo is conducting the "Managing Financial Reports & Socialization of the UMKM Layak Platform" Workshop in various cities across Indonesia. In addition to Samarinda, the workshop was also held in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, on September 7, 2023, and Pare-Pare, South Sulawesi, on October 4, 2023.
