Jamkrindo Supports Child Character Development in Geopark Ciletuh by Organizing Teacher Training and Parenting Seminar

Sukabumi, December 14, 2023 – PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) organized a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event with the theme "Child Character Development through Teachers and Parents" at 11 public elementary schools in the Ciemas District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, within the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark area. This program reflects the company’s dedication to improving education quality in Indonesia.

Prita Widy Wardani, Branch Manager of Jamkrindo Sukabumi, emphasized that Jamkrindo acknowledges the significant role character development plays in influencing children's behavior. "This activity is one of our supports for government programs aimed at creating a generation and future leaders with strong character," Prita said.

The child character development program began on December 2, 2023, and involved all teachers and principals from the 11 public elementary schools in Ciemas. The training was conducted using a "mobile training" method, where training was delivered directly to the schools. This approach ensures that all teachers and staff can participate in the training.

Prita further explained that the schools involved in this program include SDN Tamanjaya, SDN Cirambutan, SDN Sanggarawa 1, SDN Sanggarawa 2, SDN Ciemas, SDN Cikondang, SDN Cibenda, SDN Bojongwaru, SDN Ciloa, SDN Cibatu, and SDN Sindanghayu.

In addition to the teacher training program, Jamkrindo’s CSR initiative also included a parenting seminar for representatives of parents from the participating schools. The seminar focused on how to be a professional teacher at home and how to develop children's character at home.

Yudi Cucu Supriyadi, Head of the Quality and Institutional Sub-Coordinator at the Sukabumi Education Department, praised Jamkrindo’s initiative, recognizing it as a significant step in improving education quality in Sukabumi. "We hope that with this training, educators can develop their abilities to provide better education to future generations," he said.

Meanwhile, Sirodjudin, Head of Ciwaru Village, expressed hope that the program would not only enhance teaching skills but also strengthen the relationship between schools, parents, and the community. "This program reflects the seriousness and collaboration of various parties in improving education and building the character of the next generation," Sirodjudin said.

Since 2019, Jamkrindo has been conducting community empowerment programs in the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark area. These programs address environmental issues such as ecosystem restoration and plastic waste management.

In line with these efforts, Jamkrindo also focuses on improving the local economy through sustainable programs aimed at boosting the community’s economic growth.

Some of the empowerment programs include mentoring and supporting the Ciletuh Homestay Association, strengthening local livestock businesses, providing ongoing assistance to the community, especially during the pandemic, and promoting health campaigns for students, as well as parenting seminars and teacher training.
