Tangerang – PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) continues its push for financial literacy among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Following workshops on digital financial literacy in Pare-Pare, Palu, and Ambon at the end of 2023, the largest credit guarantee company in Indonesia hosted another session at Universitas Raharja, Tangerang, on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
The event was attended by Rector of Universitas Raharja, Abas Sunarya, Director of PT UMKM Tangerang Raya, Azdin Akbar, CEO of Lunas, Roy Baskoro, Corporate Secretary of Jamkrindo, Aribowo, and the Tangerang Raya MSME Community.
Aribowo explained that the workshop was attended by 50 MSME participants from Tangerang. The main focus of the workshop was providing education on the importance of financial reports, especially as a key requirement to support access to capital.
“Through this workshop, we hope that MSME owners will be able to create their own financial reports, enabling them to assess their financial health,” said Aribowo.
In today’s digital age, Jamkrindo is also encouraging MSMEs to harness Artificial Intelligence (AI), such as ChatGPT, to enhance their operations. By utilizing AI, MSME owners can more effectively plan marketing strategies, gather market trend insights, increase customer interaction, and analyze customer data.
“MSMEs must be able to adapt to technological developments, particularly in applying artificial intelligence, to increase business productivity,” Aribowo added.
Additionally, the workshop featured an introduction to UMKM Layak, a platform designed to analyze the viability of MSMEs and provide a bridge for MSME owners to access training related to business operations.
“UMKM Layak is a digital platform aimed at facilitating access to funding for MSMEs and connecting them with training opportunities,” explained Aribowo.
The platform also helps MSMEs access financing by bridging the gap between MSMEs needing funds and financial institutions providing the necessary capital.
