JAKARTA – PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) has been awarded the Bronze Winner at the 2024 BUMN Corporate Communication and Sustainability Summit (BCOMSS) Awards in the category of Community Involvement & Development (CID) in Health. This prestigious recognition was awarded for the company's initiative in providing education on Anti-Bullying and Sexual Violence for elementary school students.
The award was presented by Tedi Bharata, Deputy for Human Resource Management, Technology, and Information at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), to Akhmad Purwakajaya, the President Director of Jamkrindo, and was witnessed by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Tennis Indoor, Senayan, Jakarta.
Akhmad shared that the program was part of Jamkrindo’s commitment to supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of health and quality education. The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the National Commission for Child Protection, provided education to 5,300 students from 26 schools across the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek).
"By providing early education to elementary school students, we hope this program helps reduce the prevalence of bullying and sexual violence cases," said Akhmad.
He further emphasized that the program is part of Jamkrindo’s ongoing efforts. Following the success of the 2023 anti-bullying and sexual violence education program for elementary school students, Jamkrindo plans to expand the program in 2024 to include secondary school students (SMP). Additionally, two other programs will be launched: mental health education within families and providing training to create high-quality elementary school educators.
Akhmad acknowledged that the award would not have been possible without the positive support from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and all stakeholders, who have been encouraging Jamkrindo to innovate and contribute to the wider community.
“This award will motivate us to continue innovating and developing programs that bring benefits to both the environment and society,” said Akhmad.
The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises hosted the BCOMSS event to celebrate the achievements of BUMN companies in communication and social and environmental responsibility (TJSL). The awards recognize the ongoing efforts of state-owned corporations and serve as a benchmark for best practices within the BUMN sector and its subsidiaries.
