Pekanbaru – As part of its Ramadan Safari program and in celebration of its upcoming 54th anniversary on July 1, 2024, PT Jamkrindo carried out various social initiatives in Pekanbaru. These activities included the distribution of free food packages, donations to orphans, stipends for Quran teachers and mosque caretakers (marbots), and the provision of worship equipment for local prayer facilities.
Ivan Soeparno, Director of Human Resources, General Affairs, and Risk Management at Jamkrindo, emphasized that the Ramadan Safari is an integral part of the company’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.
“The Ramadan Safari program reflects Jamkrindo’s commitment to being present in the community. In line with this year’s theme, ‘Ramadan Kareem, Purify Your Heart by Sharing,’ we continue our social care efforts through regular activities like distributing food packages and supporting orphans. We hope that this assistance will bring benefits to the community,” said Ivan.
The Ramadan Safari was carried out across 11 Jamkrindo branches in various regions of Indonesia, including Jakarta, Tangerang, Ternate, Tarakan, Pekanbaru, Solo, Purwakarta, Pangkal Pinang, Kediri, and Mataram.
In Pekanbaru, Jamkrindo distributed 100 free food packages, provided donations to 50 orphans, offered stipends to Quran teachers, supported mosque caretakers, and provided worship equipment for local prayer facilities.
The symbolic handover of aid was made by Ivan Soeparno, Director of Human Resources, General Affairs, and Risk Management, along with Diki Achadiyat, Regional Leader of Medan, and Hendra Nasution, Branch Leader of Pekanbaru.
Nationally, Jamkrindo has distributed 5,400 free food packages, provided donations to 648 orphans, supported 29 Quran teachers, assisted 22 mosque caretakers, and provided worship equipment to 11 prayer facilities.
“We hope this Ramadan Safari program will strengthen our sense of gratitude, enhance our relationships, and bring blessings that benefit everyone,” Ivan added.
Yusril Mahendra, Head of the Al-Ilham Orphanage Foundation, expressed gratitude to Jamkrindo. “Thank you, Jamkrindo. We hope the company continues to succeed and contribute to the improvement of community welfare,” he said.
