The Ministry of SOEs’ leadership meeting on Tuesday (2/10) was held at the headquarters of Perum Jamkrindo. This limited internal meeting is a regular agenda conducted by SOEs and hosted at the SOEs.
"Jamkrindo only acted as the host. The meeting was attended by the Minister of SOEs, the deputies within the Ministry of SOEs, and SOE Directors," said Nina Kurnia Dewi, Head of the General Division at Jamkrindo, yesterday.
According to Nina, something interesting was the presence of the Minister of SOEs, Dahlan Iskan. Dahlan provided guidance through a letter addressed to all Jamkrindo personnel. "The essence is to awaken our conscience at Jamkrindo to further energize MSMEs," she said.
Echoing Dahlan Iskan's message, Nina stated, "Everyone at Jamkrindo is not only working hard for the company, but also for the advancement of small entrepreneurs throughout Indonesia. The country will be strong if millions of small businesses can grow and develop thanks to reliable guarantees from Jamkrindo. Good luck," she read from the letter.
Earlier, the Minister of SOEs urged SOE Directors to attend the leadership meeting every Tuesday from 07:00 to 10:00 WIB. Dahlan explained that holding the meeting every Tuesday is meant to make SOEs more effective and efficient. "If Monday is used for internal consolidation and for formulating the agenda for Tuesday morning's meeting, then Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday can be used for other activities. If meetings are held on Wednesday and Thursday, it would disrupt the work rhythm, and Saturday and Sunday should be reserved for reviewing projects," he said.
Dahlan mandated the meeting and did not accept any excuses if the leadership meeting was not attended. He mentioned that the Tuesday leadership meeting at PLN was able to resolve 50 issues. "During my two years at PLN, we always held meetings on Tuesday—even invitations from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Finance were declined. With a Tuesday meeting at PLN, I was able to resolve 50 issues," Dahlan said.
Dahlan urged SOE Directors to attend the meeting on Tuesday. Additionally, he will grant SOEs the freedom to increase their productivity. "SOE companies should not be busy with letters, reports, and meetings," he said.
