Jakarta — In observance of the holy month of Ramadan and as part of its upcoming 55th anniversary celebration on July 1, 2025, Indonesia’s state-owned credit guarantee company PT Jamkrindo has launched a series of Ramadan outreach initiatives across the country.
Branded as the Ramadan Safari, the initiative includes a broad array of social programs—from distributing free food packages to providing support for orphans, and donating prayer supplies to local musalas (small prayer houses).
“This Safari Ramadan is an extension of our corporate social and environmental responsibility,” said Akhmad Purwakajaya, President Director of Jamkrindo, in an official statement. “We view it as a way to be present for the community—embodying our Ramadan theme: ‘Spreading Kindness, Embracing Blessings Toward Victory.’”
The social initiatives, he said, reflect Jamkrindo’s ongoing commitment to uplifting communities. “Distributing food packages and providing support for orphans are not just seasonal gestures. These are regular acts of care that we hope bring meaningful relief to those in need,” he added.
The program spans 10 regional Jamkrindo offices located in cities including Serang, Sorong, Palembang, Bandung, Madiun, Banjarmasin, Kupang, Purwokerto, Tanjung Pinang, and Jakarta.
In Palembang, for instance, Jamkrindo distributed 600 food packages, extended aid to 15 orphaned children, and donated prayer items to the At Taubah Musala. The donations were symbolically handed over by Suwarsito, Jamkrindo’s Director of Operations and Network, to representatives of the An Nisa Orphanage Foundation on March 6, 2025.
Nationally, the initiative has delivered 6,000 free food packages, provided assistance to 386 orphans, and supported 11 musalas with prayer supplies.
“We hope this Ramadan Safari inspires greater gratitude among us all and strengthens our bonds within the community,” said Purwakajaya. “May it bring abundant blessings and benefits to those we reach.”
The head of the An Nisa Orphanage Foundation expressed gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries. “We thank Jamkrindo for their generous support. May their success continue to grow and contribute to the well-being of communities across Indonesia,” they said.
