Perusahaan Umum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Perum Jamkrindo) continues to expand its office network across Indonesia. With a broader network, this state-owned enterprise (BUMN) operating in the guarantee sector is determined to enhance its operational and financial performance.
"We are improving our performance by actively marketing guarantee products supported by branch offices across Indonesia," said Jamkrindo's President Director, Diding S. Anwar.
In 2014, the company plans to open 14 new branch offices. Out of these, 7 new branches have already been officially opened and have received permits from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The inauguration took place at the Perum Jamkrindo Denpasar Branch Office in Bali on June 23, 2014.
The seven new branches were inaugurated by the Chairman of Jamkrindo's Board of Commissioners, Choirul Djamhari, and attended by all members of the Board of Commissioners, the Sharia Supervisory Board, Jamkrindo's Directors, and banking partners.
"The opening of these seven new branches is aimed at expanding our network and enhancing guarantee services for our banking partners," said Diding.
The seven newly opened branches are:
1. **Perum Jamkrindo Banda Aceh Branch**, based on OJK Commissioner's Decree No. Kep-53/NB.111/2014 regarding the Permit for Opening Perum Jamkrindo Aceh Branch.
2. **Perum Jamkrindo Padang Branch**, based on OJK Commissioner's Decree No. Kep-54/NB.111/2014 regarding the Permit for Opening Perum Jamkrindo Padang Branch.
3. **Perum Jamkrindo Tanjung Pinang Branch**, based on OJK Commissioner's Decree No. Kep-55/NB.111/2014 regarding the Permit for Opening Perum Jamkrindo Tanjung Pinang Branch.
4. **Perum Jamkrindo Bengkulu Branch**, based on OJK Commissioner's Decree No. Kep-56/NB.111/2014 regarding the Permit for Opening Perum Jamkrindo Bengkulu Branch.
5. **Perum Jamkrindo Serang Branch**, based on OJK Commissioner's Decree No. Kep-57/NB.111/2014 regarding the Permit for Opening Perum Jamkrindo Serang Branch.
6. **Perum Jamkrindo Kendari Branch**, based on OJK Commissioner's Decree No. Kep-58/NB.111/2014 regarding the Permit for Opening Perum Jamkrindo Kendari Branch.
7. **Perum Jamkrindo Palu Branch**, based on OJK Commissioner's Decree No. Kep-59/NB.111/2014 regarding the Permit for Opening Perum Jamkrindo Palu Branch.
With the inauguration of these seven new branches, Jamkrindo now has 28 branch offices and 28 service units (KUP) across Indonesia. The service units consist of 7 KUP in provincial capitals and 21 KUP in regencies/cities. This network expansion is expected to contribute positively to supporting economic development and services across all branch offices in Indonesia.
Diding explained that Jamkrindo is currently in a strategic growth position, in line with the growth of the company's equity and assets. As of May 31, 2014, the company's total assets amounted to Rp 8.44 trillion, an increase of 101.81% from December 2013.
Meanwhile, the company's equity as of May 31, 2014, was Rp 6.71 trillion, an increase of 102.44% from December 2013. The company's profit for the period ending May 31, 2014, was Rp 225.63 billion, an increase of 108.7% compared to the same period in 2013.
The volume of People's Business Credit (KUR) guaranteed from January 1 to May 31, 2014, amounted to Rp 6.244 trillion, or 26% of the 2014 KUR target. Meanwhile, the volume of existing credit up to May 2014 was Rp 6.998 trillion.
