JAKARTA - In commemoration of the Holy Month of Ramadan and in anticipation of Eid al-Fitr 1435 Hijriah, Perusahaan Umum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Perum Jamkrindo) Headquarters, Jakarta Branch Office, and Jakarta Special Branch Office distributed free basic food packages in the parking area of Jamkrindo, Jl. Angkasa Blok B-9 Kavling 6 Kota Baru Bandar Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
The distribution of free basic food packages was organized to assist the community, especially those around the Perum Jamkrindo office, in meeting their basic needs ahead of the festive season. On this occasion, Perum Jamkrindo distributed a total of 422 packages containing cooking oil, flour, milk, sugar, and other essential items through its Partnership and Community Development Program. The event took place on July 24, 2014, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and was deemed timely as it coincided with the rise in prices of basic commodities ahead of the holiday.
This initiative reflects Perum Jamkrindo's concern as one of the state-owned enterprises (BUMN) to help alleviate the burden on the community around its office area. The effort was warmly welcomed by the local residents.
