Manado, November 6, 2014 - Perum Jamkrindo today officially upgraded the status of seven of its offices, from Service Unit Offices (KUP) to Branch Offices. This move is a tangible demonstration of management's commitment to improving services for all partners across Indonesia.
The inauguration of the seven branch offices was intentionally centered at Novotel Hotel in Manado, as five of the offices being inaugurated are located in Eastern Indonesia, including Manado. The newly inaugurated branch offices are Gorontalo (Gorontalo), Ambon (Maluku), Ternate (North Maluku), Mamuju (West Sulawesi), Manokwari (West Papua), Tarakan (North Kalimantan), and Pangkal Pinang (Bangka Belitung).
The seven branch offices were inaugurated by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Perum Jamkrindo, Braman Setyo, and the Director of Financial Services Supervision at the Financial Services Authority (OJK), M. Ihsanuddin. The event was attended by all members of the Supervisory Board of Perum Jamkrindo, officials from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, the entire Board of Directors of Perum Jamkrindo, and banking partners.
With the addition of these seven branch offices, Perum Jamkrindo now has a total of 35 branch offices across 34 provinces in Indonesia. Specifically, in Jakarta, there are two branch offices: the Jakarta Branch Office and the Special Branch Office.
"The purpose of adding these branch offices is to further enhance Perum Jamkrindo's services to all partners. It also serves as tangible proof that we fully support the government's program to empower Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises, and Cooperatives (UMKMK) by providing credit guarantees," said the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Diding S. Anwar.
In 2014, Perum Jamkrindo is in a strategic growth position, in line with the growth of the company's equity and assets. As of September 30, 2014, the company's total assets amounted to Rp8.59 trillion, an increase of 14.66% from September 2013. Meanwhile, the company's equity as of September 30, 2014, was Rp6.953 trillion, an increase of 29.43% from September 2013. The comprehensive profit for the period reached Rp508 billion, an increase of 31.21% from the comprehensive profit in September 2013.
The volume of People's Business Credit (KUR) guaranteed for 2014 amounted to Rp86.9 trillion, or 51.63% of the total national KUR realization for 2014, which was Rp168.3 trillion. The Guarantee Service Fee (IJP) received from KUR as of September 2014 was Rp848.91 billion, or 69.87% of the total gross IJP received by Perum Jamkrindo. Claims from January to September 2014 amounted to Rp692.13 billion, or 75.02% of the 2014 RKAP target. The volume of KUR guaranteed from January 1 to September 30, 2014, was Rp12.404 trillion, or 51.58% of the 2014 KUR target.
Headquartered in Jakarta and currently employing around 500 staff, Perum Jamkrindo is the only state-owned enterprise (BUMN) in Indonesia specifically dedicated to providing credit guarantees. Since its establishment in 1970, the company has made significant contributions to advancing UMKMK in Indonesia.
