Perum Jamkrindo Hosts BUMN Marketeers Club Indonesia

Jakarta - Perusahaan Umum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Perum Jamkrindo) hosted the 33rd BUMN Marketeers Club event on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at the Jamkrindo Building, Jl. Angkasa Blok B-9 Kav. 6, Bandar Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

The BUMN Marketeers Club serves as a platform for marketing enthusiasts within state-owned enterprises (BUMN) to share knowledge updates and build professional networks. This community-based initiative is supported by Rini Soemarmo, the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, as the Chairman of the Board, and Hermawan Kartajaya, Publisher of Marketeers Media Fleet, as the Secretary of the Board. The establishment of the BUMN Marketeers Club aligns with the spirit of "Work, Work, Work to Enhance Competitiveness," as emphasized by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises.

The event was opened by Hermawan Kartajaya and Diding S. Anwar, the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, who also served as a speaker at the meeting. The 33rd BUMN Marketeers Club, held at Perum Jamkrindo, carried the theme "Jamkrindo Exists for Indonesian MSMEs and Cooperatives (UMKMK)."

In addition to Hermawan Kartajaya, the event was attended by representatives from several other BUMNs, including PT. Pegadaian, PT. Telkom, PT. Taspen, Garuda Indonesia, Telkom, Hutama Karya, Nindya Karya, PT. Bank Mandiri Tbk, PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk, PT. Bank Tabungan Negara Indonesia Tbk, and others.

As a state-owned credit guarantee company, Perum Jamkrindo is determined to improve its operational and financial performance and enhance services to all partners in 2015. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) often face challenges, with access to capital being a common issue. For micro-enterprises, banks are not always a viable solution for credit due to stringent requirements, such as collateral, which often discourages MSMEs from seeking loans. Recognizing this, Jamkrindo has positioned itself as a supporter of MSMEs.

As a guarantee institution, Perum Jamkrindo ensures that banks are confident in disbursing credit to MSMEs. Banks no longer need to worry about the risk of business failure among their debtors, as Jamkrindo provides protection against loan defaults.

Perum Jamkrindo has collaborated with various banks, including state-owned banks, BUMNs, private banks, and regional development banks (BPD) from Aceh to Papua. Foreign banks are also included, in line with Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations requiring banks to allocate 5% of their credit portfolio to MSMEs in 2015 and 20% by 2018. Beyond banks, Jamkrindo also partners with microfinance institutions, non-bank financial institutions, and pawnshops.

With 44 years of experience, Perum Jamkrindo currently operates 35 branch offices and 21 service units (KUP) across regencies and cities in Indonesia. Headquartered in Jakarta, Perum Jamkrindo is the only state-owned enterprise in Indonesia specializing in credit guarantees. Since its establishment in 1970, it has made significant contributions to advancing MSMEs and cooperatives in Indonesia.
