Jakarta | The Employee Cooperative of Perum Jamkrindo Sejahtera (Kowajasa) distributed dividends or net income (SHU) of IDR 585 million. This achievement increased from the previous year’s IDR 275 million. In response to this achievement, all members, the Board of Supervisors, and the board of directors of Perum Jamkrindo expressed their appreciation.
“I am proud of this achievement, especially since the Kowajasa employee cooperative has made various innovations and diversification in business fields,” said Braman Setyo, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Perum Jamkrindo, during the Annual Member Meeting (RAT) at the Jamkrindo Building, Kemayoran, Jakarta, Wednesday (15/4).
More impressively, the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors praised Kowajasa’s share ownership in Jamkrindo Syariah. “Having a subsidiary in the form of a PT is certainly very good,” said Braman Setyo, who admitted he had never attended an RAT of an employee cooperative before.
President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Diding S Anwar, in his speech, expressed pride in Kowajasa. “This is extraordinary and should be emulated by other Jamkrindo branches in the regions,” he said.
Chairperson of Kowajasa Cooperative, Nina Kurnia Dewi, said that in addition to the increased SHU achievement, the number of assets owned by Kowajasa also grew. “Our equity increased from IDR 2.4 billion to IDR 3.1 billion,” said Nina, who also serves as Head of the HR Division of Jamkrindo.
The diversification carried out by Kowajasa, Nina continued, is by creating business fields that involve and empower retired employees under the name Jamtama. She added that Kowajasa’s business diversification includes a motorcycle installment program in collaboration with Honda, a gold installment program with Bank Syariah Mandiri, link residence for housing down payments, smart transaction programs, snack catering, ticketing, photocopying, office stationery, and construction services.
