Dozens of employees gathered on the 6th floor of Perum Jamkrindo. Since the morning, they had been inquiring about and registering for the Blood Donation event. This event is held regularly every year to celebrate the company's anniversary. However, the enthusiasm of the participants seemed higher during the event held on Tuesday (10/09/2015) starting at 11:00 AM WIB.
"Come on, let’s stay enthusiastic. I even rushed my work just because I wanted to donate blood," said Hafizah Ishak, Public Relations Officer of Perum Jamkrindo, while encouraging her colleagues at the charity event.
However, not all the enthusiasm from the participants could be accommodated by PMI. Some employees who had registered were regretfully rejected by PMI officers. This was explained by Siti Cholidah, Head of the Blood Supply Section at PMI North Jakarta.
"The enthusiasm of the employees and other participants in this blood donation event is very high. This is proven by the fact that out of around 130 registrants, we had to reject 38 people," Cholidah told the Jamkrindo media team.
According to her, the criteria for a good blood donor include being physically healthy, not currently sick, having normal blood pressure and hemoglobin levels, a minimum weight of 45 kg, and being at least 17 years old. "We truly appreciate the charity event held by Perum Jamkrindo, as it greatly helps those in need," she added.
The Chairman of the Perum Jamkrindo blood donation event committee, Doni Nugroho, expressed his satisfaction with the event. "We are grateful that this event was quite festive, as shown by the increased number of participants compared to last year," he said.
Furthermore, Doni explained that this activity is part of a series of events to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Perum Jamkrindo. The anniversary will fall on July 1, 2015, with the main event—a Family Gathering—scheduled for August 1, 2015. (team)
