Banda Aceh | State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in collaboration with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) have completed a total of 45 veteran houses in Aceh Province. A total of Rp1.8 billion was allocated to support the construction and rehabilitation of house infrastructure as part of the 70th Independence Day of Indonesia (HUT RI) program, BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri, in Aceh.
The symbolic handover of the program's completion took place during the 70th anniversary of the TNI in Banda Aceh. The Commander of the Iskandar Muda Regional Military Command (Pangdam IM), Major General TNI Agus Kriswanto, expressed his full appreciation for the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri program in Aceh Province.
He acknowledged the overwhelming response from the people of Aceh due to the various assistance provided. "For instance, elderly veterans said they were grateful that their homes were repaired and rebuilt, and we were deeply moved," said Agus during the TNI anniversary event in Blang Padang, Banda Aceh, on Monday (10/05/2015).
He hopes that this well-established synergy will continue in the future.
The Veteran Home Renovation program covered 45 units distributed across various regions in Aceh Province, including Pidie, Lhokseumawe, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Besar, Aceh Tenggara, Langsa, Bener Meriah, Aceh Selatan, Aceh Jaya, and Nagan Raya.
As part of the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri event, Perum Jamkrindo, along with several other state-owned enterprises, organized various programs for the people of Aceh. These included providing additional laboratory facilities in 17 vocational schools (SMK), selling affordable basic necessities, holding competitions, a decorative car parade, and a 45 km fun walk.
TNI Anniversary in Aceh
Pangdam IM, Major General TNI Agus Kriswanto, also expressed his gratitude for Perum Jamkrindo's participation in the TNI anniversary celebration in Aceh. With the support of Perum Jamkrindo, TNI conducted various social service activities in commemoration of the TNI anniversary on October 5.
"We organized various activities, including cataract surgery, blood donation, mass medical treatment, affordable basic food bazaars, and reforestation," said Agus.
The Head of Finance and Investment Division at Perum Jamkrindo, Krisna Johan, stated that this event was held as an expression of gratitude from Perum Jamkrindo as a state-owned enterprise to the Indonesian people. "This event is a token of our appreciation to the community for creating a conducive environment for Indonesia's economic development," he said.
Krisna also thanked TNI for its swift and effective execution of the program. He emphasized that TNI is highly reliable not only for national defense but also for strategic collaboration in social initiatives like this.
