Jakarta - The People's Business Credit (KUR) program has a noble goal of fostering the MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) sector. However, out of the Rp30 trillion allocated for KUR in 2015, only Rp20 trillion was absorbed. Next year, the government is preparing Rp100 trillion for KUR funding.
"As of now (2015), KUR, which was just disbursed in early August, amounts to Rp30 trillion, with a realization of at least Rp20 trillion by the end of the year," said Darmin at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Jakarta, on Tuesday night (8/12/2015).
Darmin stated that next year, KUR funds will be increased to Rp100 trillion. To ensure the program is effective and optimal, the expansion of target recipients needs to be emphasized.
"It has already been included in the second or third policy package regulation. The KUR interest rate remains at 9 percent. Essentially, in cabinet meetings, it has been agreed upon who will be the target recipients of KUR," explained the former Governor of Bank Indonesia. * (source: inilah.com)
