Jamkrindo Leads the Financing of the Booming Special Financial Services Industry

Jakarta | Amid the economic slowdown throughout 2015, total financing in the financial services industry sector actually grew by more than 15%. In fact, its assets grew by 26.28%.

For information, there are four sectors in the special financial services industry: PT Pegadaian (Persero), PT Sarana Multigriya Financial (SMF), the Indonesian Export Financing Institution (LPEI), and the Guarantee Company, namely Perum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo).

Total financing disbursed in the special financial services industry up to November, as recorded by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), reached Rp 210.28 trillion. Compared year-on-year (yoy) to November, the growth reached 15.49%.

The highest financing disbursement was recorded in the guarantee company sector, reaching Rp 97.64 trillion as of November 2015, growing by 5.4%.

This was followed by LPEI or Eximbank, which disbursed Rp 73.57 trillion in financing in November 2015, growing by 32.7% yoy. Third, Pegadaian, whose financing in November 2015 reached Rp 31.2 trillion, an increase of 14.8%.

Lastly, SMF recorded financing disbursement of Rp 7.87 trillion by November 2015, growing 20% from Rp 6.5 trillion in November 2014.

Among the four sectors, Eximbank became the institution with the highest financing disbursement growth. Meanwhile, the total assets of these special financial services institutions grew by 26.28% year-to-date (ytd), reaching Rp 147.45 trillion.
