Jamkrindo Attends the 12th AITIS Socialization Held by APKASI

Jakarta | The Indonesian Credit Guarantee Public Corporation (Perum Jamkrindo) and the Association of Indonesian Regency Governments (APKASI) are collaborating to develop business promotion and investment in the country. This initiative will be realized through the 12th Apkasi International Trade and Investment Summit (AITIS), scheduled for April 27-29, 2016.

In an official statement, Jamkrindo and APKASI agreed that this event aims to promote Indonesia to the international community as a promising investment and business destination. At the socialization and preparation event for the 12th AITIS on Thursday (11/02/2016) at Sahid Sudirman, several regional heads from across Indonesia attended as APKASI members.

The 12th AITIS is planned to be held at JIEXPO Kemayoran and will be attended by all regency governments, city governments, regional governments, the central government, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), embassies of friendly countries, multinational companies, as well as private companies from within and outside the country.

Zaidin A. Zaiti, Staff for Cooperation Development and Regional Potential Promotion at APKASI, stated that AITIS is an effort to develop business investment and natural resource management. AITIS will hold promotional activities for the government through the 12th Apkasi International Trade and Investment Summit: Indonesia Investment Week 2016, scheduled for May 5-7, 2016, at Jakarta International Expo-Kemayoran, Jakarta.

"This is an effort to realize the 2015-2019 National Medium-Term Development Plan," said Zaidin.

According to him, the Indonesia International Investment Partnership Forum and Exhibition will be attended by regency, city, and provincial governments, as well as ministry institutions, national entrepreneurs, and business partners from friendly countries such as Asia, ASEAN, Europe, America, and the Middle East, along with sectoral investments.

"This momentum can serve as a strategic platform for fostering economic partnerships in natural resource management and government investment activities," he stated.

He mentioned that participants will not be charged a fee. Specifically, exhibitors can send representatives to attend parallel discussions. Each discussion room is limited to a maximum of two participants.

"For general participants who are not exhibition representatives, a participation fee of Rp. 500 million is required for two participants," he explained.

Meanwhile, Zaidin added that non-exhibitor participants wishing to present their business potential are given one hour. Additionally, for intensive discussions with potential business partners, a participation fee of Rp. 30 million is required.

This event is also seen as a strategic opportunity for exploring business and investment collaborations. The AITIS event will facilitate various exhibitions showcasing business and investment prospects across Indonesia and will serve as a national and international business forum to help realize the 2015-2019 National Medium-Term Development Plan.

Another key aspect of this year's AITIS exhibition is the empowerment and promotion of sectoral potentials, including mining and energy, tourism, the creative economy, marine and fisheries, agriculture and plantations, as well as infrastructure.
