Bandung | The authorities are expediting the synchronization between the readiness of financial services industry players and the government's provincial database of business sectors related to regional potential in Tanah Priangan in preparation for the establishment of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team in West Java.
Head of Regional 2 of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) West Java, Sarwono, said that the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) in West Java is targeted to be formed by the end of March 2016, making the available time quite tight.
"We will try to make all meetings effective. Today, we have started by meeting with financial services industry players in West Java. Next week, we will meet with the provincial government," he said when met by Bisnis after a meeting between OJK West Java and financial services industry players on Wednesday (2/3/2016).
On this occasion, OJK West Java gathered input and extracted information, conditions, and business portfolios from financial services industry players while providing them with an understanding of TPAKD, which will act as fund aggregators and distributors.
He stated that the authorities deliberately did not immediately bring together financial services industry players with the West Java Provincial Government so that discussions could be conducted freely without being influenced by government agendas or programs beforehand.
"There should be no leading the project. We want it to be open first, to see the actual condition of the financial services industry. Next week, we will meet with the provincial government to identify economic potentials in West Java's districts/cities that have not yet been optimally accessed by financial services," he explained.
