JAKARTA: The government capital injection of Rp1.8 trillion for Perum Jamkrindo and PT Askrindo is expected to be disbursed in October this year to improve the capital ratios of these two state-owned enterprises. Jamkrindo President Director Nahid Hudaya mentioned that all parties are also hoping the capital injection will be expedited. However, the disbursement depends on the decision makers. He explained that they are merely estimating that the capital injection could be disbursed in September or, ideally, next month.
"The decision is not in our hands. However, everyone supports this plan. It is expected to be disbursed by next month at the latest," he said.
Nahid noted that the gearing ratio—or the capital-to-credit guarantee ratio—has nearly reached the required level of 10 times. Currently, Jamkrindo's gearing ratio stands at 8 times, so additional capital is needed to extend credit guarantees to small and medium enterprises. Regarding the amount, Nahid mentioned that both Jamkrindo and Askrindo are slated to receive Rp900 billion each to help improve their capital ratios.
"So Jamkrindo and Askrindo will each receive fifty-fifty. It is expected that with the support of this government capital, things will get even better," he added.
