MEDAN | In celebration of the 46th anniversary of Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) on July 1, the Jamkrindo Regional Office (Kanwil) 1 Medan is organizing a series of activities, including a blood donation event held on Monday (23/5).
The Head of Jamkrindo Kanwil 1 Medan Branch, M. Rinanto Deddy I, stated that they deliberately organized a series of events leading up to Jamkrindo's anniversary so that employees, staff, and the community could focus on worshiping during the fasting month, which falls in mid-June.
However, he continued, the series of Jamkrindo anniversary events will also take place during Ramadan, as in previous years, such as providing donations to orphans or contributions to orphanages.
"But for blood donation and sports activities, it is not possible to hold them during Ramadan, so we moved them forward," said Rinanto to MedanBisnis at the Jamkrindo Kanwil 1 Medan Office on Jalan Sei Serayu Medan, Monday (23/5).
He stated that for the blood donation event, Jamkrindo collaborated with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), targeting 46 blood bags, in line with Jamkrindo's anniversary. "There will also be sports events, donations to orphanages, and a series of activities throughout Ramadan, culminating in the Jamkrindo anniversary celebration," he said.
When asked about his hopes as the newly appointed Branch Head in carrying out his duties and responsibilities at Jamkrindo's 46th anniversary, he mentioned that being in one's 40s is not an old or aging phase but rather a stage of maturity.
He hopes that Jamkrindo Kanwil 1 Medan will continue to expand its reach and grow even further. Especially since Jamkrindo was established in 1970 and now, on a national level, has 56 branch offices, 10 Service Unit Offices (KUP) in each district, and 9 regional offices, with Kanwil 1 Medan being one of them.
In this regard, he highlighted many of Jamkrindo's positive achievements, one of which is the expansion of Jamkrindo Kanwil 1 Medan’s coverage area, now overseeing five provinces: Aceh, West Sumatra, Riau Islands, Riau, and North Sumatra.
Meanwhile, Jamkrindo branches are located in Medan, Aceh, Padang, Pekanbaru, Tanjung Pinang, Balige, and Batam. "Previously, it covered only three regions, and now it has expanded to include two more," he said.
As for Jamkrindo's targets under his leadership, they include continuing the programs initiated by previous leaders and making improvements where needed. However, the first step is internal regeneration, ensuring that necessary improvements are addressed first. (Source: medanbisnisdaily.com)
