Jamkrindo Guarantees Sulampua KUR of IDR 3.36 Trillion

MAKASSAR | The credit guarantee for small business loans or KUR in Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua by Perum Jamkrindo has reached Rp3.36 trillion in the first five months of this year. The realization of KUR guarantees aligns with the increasingly aggressive credit distribution to MSME players by banks in the Sulampua region.

The Head of Jamkrindo Regional Office IX Sulampua, Hamim Afianto, stated that the large KUR allocation this year has also increased the guarantee portion for this segment, reaching approximately 55% of the company's total credit guarantees.

"Far exceeding last year's amount of only Rp1.5 trillion. This year's KUR allocation is indeed very large, not to mention that MSMEs are also being facilitated in accessing KUR through banks," he told Bisnis.com on Wednesday (June 8, 2016).

As of May 2016, the total guarantees by Perum Jamkrindo Regional Office IX, which covers Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua, have reached Rp6.04 trillion, with 55% coming from KUR and the remaining Rp2.67 trillion from the non-KUR guarantee segment.

For reference, non-KUR guarantees come from several company products, including mortgage credit guarantees, construction loans, procurement of goods and services, surety bonds, and several others.

According to the plan, Perum Jamkrindo Regional Office IX aims to guarantee credit in Sulampua amounting to Rp12.7 trillion by the end of this year.

Besides relying on KUR, Hamim said the company also has high expectations for the launch of infrastructure projects aggressively funded by the government through the regional and national budgets (APBD/N), which are estimated to support the guarantee volume performance.

Additionally, the company also relies on the commercial credit segment distributed by Jamkrindo's partner financing institutions operating in Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua.

Hamim detailed that this year's credit guarantee target consists of Rp6.3 trillion from KUR, while Rp6.4 trillion comes from non-KUR credit.

This target is nearly double the realization of the Regional Office IX guarantee last year, which was Rp7.5 trillion, consisting of Rp1.5 trillion from KUR, Rp1.2 trillion from consumer credit, Rp2 trillion from surety bonds, Rp1.9 trillion from microfinance guarantees for the company's partner financial institutions, and other guarantee products.

Specifically in Region IX, Jamkrindo's branch office network consists of 14 units spread across several cities in Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua. (Source: Bisnis.com)
