JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BNI) continues to explore the potential for micro-sector credit distribution. One of its initiatives is a partnership for the distribution of micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) loans to PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) worth Rp 250 billion.
The total credit ceiling is set to reach Rp 750 billion by the end of 2016. “The tenure is three years with an interest rate of 10% for PNM,” said BNI’s Head of Small Business Division, Anton Siregar, on Monday (22/8).
PNM will distribute this credit to low-income communities, providing a ceiling of Rp 2 million to business groups with at least 10 members, classified as super micro. “Since its launch in November 2015, as of August 2016, there have been 147,000 super micro customers,” explained Tony Wijayanto, Head of Finance and Capital Division at PNM.
BNI management predicts that MSME loan distribution growth by the end of the year could reach 22.5%. This growth rate exceeds the initial target of 19.5%.
One indicator, according to Anton, is reflected in the distribution of Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR), which is expected to reach Rp 11.5 trillion by the end of 2016. By the eighth month of this year, BNI had already disbursed Rp 7.9 trillion in KUR, or 67.69% of the target. “KUR is predominantly retail, with the remainder allocated to micro KUR and TKI KUR. We aim to complete it by September 2016,” said Anton. (Source: Kontan.co.id)
