JAKARTA | Perum Jamkrindo recorded that the accumulated amount of People's Business Credit (KUR) guaranteed from 2008 to June 30, 2016, reached IDR 128.2 trillion. In this regard, Perum Jamkrindo is ready to optimize the guarantee for KUR distribution to support the growth and development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
"The accumulated number of MSMEs that have benefited from the KUR guarantee program from 2008 to June 30, 2016, is 6,854,152 MSMEs," said President Director Diding S. Anwar at the National Seminar titled "High, Quality, and Sustainable Economic Growth Through Increasing MSME Value Added", at the BI Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (15/9/2016).
The average loan amount received by each MSME or KUR debtor guaranteed by Perum Jamkrindo is IDR 18.82 million per MSME. Meanwhile, the employment absorption from Perum Jamkrindo’s KUR guarantee reached 9,573,023.
"Since its launch in 2008 until June 30, 2016, Perum Jamkrindo has obtained additional PNM amounting to IDR 7.03 trillion," Diding revealed.
As of June 2016, Perum Jamkrindo recorded total assets of IDR 12.3 trillion, an increase compared to 2015, which was only IDR 11.6 trillion. Meanwhile, total equity as of June 2016 reached IDR 9.5 trillion, up from IDR 9.4 trillion in 2015.
So far, MSMEs still hold a strategic position in the economy. First, MSMEs are spread across all regions in Indonesia. Second, MSMEs amount to 57 million units. Third, MSMEs contribute 59.08 percent to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Fourth, MSMEs absorb 97.3 percent of the workforce. (Source: Metrotvnews.com)
