JAKARTA – Perusahaan Umum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Perum Jamkrindo) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for guarantee cooperation with the Revolving Fund Management Institution for Cooperatives and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (LPDB-KUMKM) and the Mitra Sarana Perjuangan (MSP) Service Cooperative. The purpose of this MoU is to provide financial access for MSMEs under cooperative guidance.
The signing was carried out by Perum Jamkrindo's Director of Guarantee Business, Bakti Prasetyo, Chairman of the MSP Service Cooperative, Edward H. Naibaho, and President Director of LPDB-KUMKM, Kemas Danial, in Jakarta on Friday, December 2, 2016.
Bakti stated that this partnership is highly strategic, as Perum Jamkrindo, a company specializing in credit guarantees with a business-oriented approach, will facilitate MSMEs affiliated with the MSP Cooperative in obtaining credit. This aligns with the government's program to boost economic growth by strengthening MSMEs.
Through this collaboration, cooperative-assisted partners will apply for loan funds from LPDB-KUMKM, which will then be distributed to cooperative-assisted partners as working capital to enhance productivity and economic competitiveness. Loan distribution to cooperatives will follow the terms set by LPDB-KUMKM.
"As the guarantor, Perum Jamkrindo will provide guarantees with a ceiling amount that corresponds to the cooperative's loan amount," said Bakti.
The Mitra Sarana Perjuangan (MSP) Cooperative is a savings and loan cooperative (KSP) with more than 3,000 MSME partners across Indonesia. This cooperative was established to unite the strength of Indonesian MSMEs to enhance global competitiveness and create a shared e-commerce marketplace.
Simultaneously, MSP is organizing the MSP EXPO 2016, a UMKM product exhibition held from December 2-4, 2016, at the Smesco Building. This exhibition features 300 MSME partners of the MSP Cooperative from 11 provinces across Indonesia.
Emir Moes, the MSP Cooperative Advisor, stated that this UMKM product exhibition aims to elevate MSMEs and promote the people’s economy. "Cooperatives and MSMEs are the backbone of the people's economy. This exhibition serves as a form of appreciation for those driving economic growth," he emphasized.
In addition to showcasing high-quality MSME products, the exhibition also features various seminars, entertainment, and competitions for visitors. Entrance is free, and lucky visitors have the chance to win exciting door prizes. (Public Relations)
