JAKARTA – Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Rini Soemarno stated that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) still require guidance and assistance in product development standards, quality, as well as the use of technology and management.
Rini mentioned that MSMEs also need access to broader markets through exhibitions and online sales. More importantly, they require financial support.
"Equally important, MSME players need capital support," she said in Jakarta on Friday (March 10, 2017).
Therefore, Rini explained that the Ministry of BUMN encourages state-owned enterprises to collaborate in establishing BUMN Creative Houses (RKB) in cities and districts across Indonesia to address these issues.
She hopes that through RKB, the presence of BUMN can truly be felt by all Indonesians, especially MSME players.
"Appreciation should be given to Telkom for initiating this event as an implementation of RKB, providing MSME players with opportunities to access wider markets through exhibitions and business digitalization," she explained.
To enhance the quality and competitiveness of MSMEs in Indonesia, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) organized the Telkom Craft Indonesia Exhibition from March 10-12, 2017, at Hall A of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
The exhibition, themed Local Heroes to Global Champions, was officially opened by Minister Rini and witnessed by the directors of various state-owned enterprises.
