Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Bahana Artha Ventura, in collaboration with State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) through the Program Kemitraan Bina Lingkungan (PKBL), has provided approximately IDR 300 billion in financing to MSMEs from Aceh to East Nusa Tenggara.
Agus Wicaksono, Director of Business Development at Bahana Artha Ventura, stated that this subsidiary of Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (BPUI) has partnered with PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset (PPA), PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), the Indonesia Eximbank (LPEI), and other SOEs to fund regional venture capital companies. This collaboration has been ongoing since 2009.
As part of its commitment to increasing financing this year, BAV, together with PPA, will allocate IDR 12 billion for venture capital in Bengkulu, Lampung, Central Java, West Kalimantan, and Bali. With this commitment, the total PKBL fund distribution between these two SOEs has reached IDR 55 billion.
"Going forward, we aim to establish partnerships with other SOEs to support micro and small enterprises from Aceh to Papua," Agus said in an official statement on Wednesday (March 15).
BAV targets distributing IDR 100 billion in PKBL funds to MSMEs across Indonesia throughout 2017.
Meanwhile, the total financing provided by this state-owned venture capital firm through various schemes is expected to reach an accumulated IDR 10 trillion by the end of the year.
This target represents a 4.16% increase from the previous year’s achievement of IDR 9.6 trillion, benefiting approximately 56,000 customers. The fund distribution is expected to increase Bahana Artha Ventura’s customer base to 60,000.
Edi Winanto, General Manager of Corporate Secretary & Legal Counsel at PT PPA, expressed his hope that the partnership with Bahana Artha Ventura would continue to strengthen, as PPA aims to support the development of micro and small enterprises to boost regional economies.
