Perum Jamkrindo organized a health walk with 3,000 participants in Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung, on Saturday, August 12. The walk, part of the "BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri" program, saw a diverse group of participants from all ages, including children, to celebrate Indonesia's 72nd Independence Day. This event was part of a nationwide initiative, with 34 health walks held across 34 provinces in Indonesia.
Rusdonobanu, Director of Finance, Investment, and Risk Management at Perum Jamkrindo, explained that the "BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri" program, initiated by the Ministry of BUMN, has been running continuously since 2015. The program reflects BUMN's commitment to improving the welfare of the people and fostering national pride.
"Perum Jamkrindo, which is the only state-owned enterprise in the guarantee industry, has been active for 47 years (since July 1, 1970). This year, Perum Jamkrindo is honored to be the PIC (Person in Charge) for the program in the Bangka Belitung Province, in collaboration with Sucofindo," he said in Bangka Belitung on Saturday, August 11.
The event was attended by Abdul Fatah, Deputy Governor of Bangka Belitung, Chairiah from the Ministry of BUMN, Heru Riza Chakim, Commercial Director of PT Sucofindo, local government officials, BUMN/BUMD representatives, and Perum Jamkrindo officials in the province.
The health walk, starting at 06:00 WIB at Alun-Alun Taman Merdeka (ATM) Pangkalpinang, covered a 5-kilometer route and was followed by entertainment for the public. The grand prize for the walk was a two-wheeled motorbike, with additional prizes for other activities.
In addition to the health walk, Perum Jamkrindo also participated in other "BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri" activities in the province, including the "Siswa Mengenal Nusantara" (SMN) program, Veteran House Renovation (Bedah Rumah Veteran), and the 17th of August Independence Day Ceremony.
At 47 years old, Perum Jamkrindo continues to grow as a leader in Indonesia's guarantee industry. As of June 2017, the company reported assets of Rp14.147 trillion and equity of Rp10.626 trillion.
Besides credit guarantee services, especially the government’s Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) program, Perum Jamkrindo has also been entrusted as the Warehouse Receipt System Guarantee Institution. Currently, Perum Jamkrindo has 9 Regional Offices, 56 Branch Offices, and 14 Service Units spread across provincial capitals and regencies throughout Indonesia.
As one of the state-owned enterprises (BUMN), Perum Jamkrindo hopes that the "BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri" program will continue to be held annually as a way for BUMN to contribute to the nation and the people of Indonesia. Additionally, BUMN programs like Partnership and Community Development aim to improve the welfare and economic growth of small communities and their surrounding environments.
