BOGOR – Perum Jamkrindo held a media gathering event as a form of appreciation for the media professionals who consistently cover and report on the company’s corporate activities. The media is recognized as a strategic partner for the company's progress.
The event took place on Saturday-Sunday (August 19-20, 2017) at Mega Mendung, Puncak, Bogor, and was attended by around 60 media professionals from print and electronic media, as well as officials from Perum Jamkrindo.
In his speech, which was delivered by Abdul Bari, Secretary of the Company, Director of Perum Jamkrindo Diding S. Anwar expressed that the media gathering was a form of maintaining relationships and strengthening the bond between Perum Jamkrindo and the media. “Through this activity, we hope to build better synergy,” said Abdul Bari while delivering the speech.
He further mentioned that the company recognizes the importance of the media as a strategic partner, and this media gathering, held for the second time, aims to enhance synergy to disseminate and socialize Perum Jamkrindo’s activities more effectively.
“This gathering includes an update on the company’s performance, as well as outbound activities such as playing pinball and off-road jeep driving to create closer bonds,” he added.
Abdul Bari explained that as a state-owned enterprise (BUMN), Perum Jamkrindo will continue to focus on its core task of empowering Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises, and Cooperatives (UMKMK), which are the backbone of the national economy through credit guarantees. One of Perum Jamkrindo’s missions is to support the development of the national economy and the growth of UMKMK, including the government’s new KUR (People's Business Credit) program.
On July 1, 2017, Perum Jamkrindo celebrated its 47th anniversary. As it matures, Perum Jamkrindo continues to grow and develop aggressively.
In terms of performance, the company’s assets as of July 31, 2017, amounted to Rp 14.26 trillion, reflecting a 6.37% increase compared to December 2016, when the assets were Rp 13.41 trillion. Meanwhile, the company’s equity amounted to Rp 10.66 trillion, an increase of 3.52% compared to December 2016, which stood at Rp 10.3 trillion.
With a total revenue of Rp 1.16 trillion and total expenses of Rp 736.33 billion, the company’s profit before tax for the period from January 1 to July 31, 2017, reached Rp 424.52 billion, or 42.73% of the pre-tax profit target of Rp 993.4 billion.
Meanwhile, the total realized credit guarantee as of July 2017 amounted to Rp 82.52 trillion, consisting of Rp 53.62 trillion for non-KUR credit guarantees and Rp 28.89 trillion for KUR credit guarantees. Perum Jamkrindo also recorded a pre-tax profit (EBT) of Rp 424.52 billion for the period up to July 2017, or 42.7% of the target profit before tax of Rp 993.4 billion for 2017.
This year, Perum Jamkrindo is also actively participating in the Ministry of BUMN's "BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri" (BUMN Present for the Nation) program. Perum Jamkrindo took part as a coordinator for the program in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
The activities carried out include the "Siswa Mengenal Nusantara" (Students Learn About the Archipelago), "Bedah Rumah Veteran" (Veteran House Renovation), a community health walk, and the highlight of the program was the flag-raising ceremony commemorating Indonesia's 72nd Independence Day, as a manifestation of BUMN's presence in the community, as mandated by the Ministry of BUMN.
