R. Sophia Alizsa has concluded her term of 2 years, 1 month, and 20 days as the Director of Operations and Network at Perum Jamkrindo. The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, as the shareholder, has entrusted her with a new position as the Director of Human Capital at Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI). With tears in her eyes, R. Sophia Alizsa expressed the difficulty of leaving Perum Jamkrindo. The sense of family within this guarantee company, she said, is something hard to find elsewhere.
Tears and laughter marked the farewell event for R. Sophia Alizsa, Director of Operations and Network at Perum Jamkrindo. The simple event took place at the Multi-Purpose Room of the Guarantee Department, on the 10th floor of the Perum Jamkrindo Building in Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Friday, October 20, 2017.
The full board of directors was present, including I. Rusdonobanu, the Acting Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Amin Mas’udi, the Director of Guarantee Business, Sulis Usdoko, the Director of HR, General Affairs, and Compliance, as well as R. Sophia Alizsa, the “main figure” of the farewell event.
Also present were Kadar Wisnuwarman, the President Director of PT. Jamkrindo Syariah (JamSyar), accompanied by the entire board of directors and commissioners. JamSyar is a subsidiary of Perum Jamkrindo specializing in Shariah guarantees. Heads of divisions of Perum Jamkrindo were also in attendance, alongside key functional staff and other officials.
Two days earlier, on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) held an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) in Jakarta. The decision made by the shareholders was to restructure the board of directors and commissioners.
Adhyaksa Dault was removed from the list of independent commissioners at BRI and replaced by Rofikoh Rokhim. BRI’s shareholders also respectfully dismissed Sunarso as Deputy President Director and Randi Anto as Consumer Director. Additionally, the position of Deputy President Director was eliminated.
"The company has appointed Mrs. Handayani (Director of BTN) as the Consumer Director and Mrs. R. Sophia Alizsa (Director of Perum Jamkrindo) as the Director of Human Capital," said Suprajarto, the President Director of Bank BRI. With this new leadership, BRI is expected to improve its performance moving forward.
The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, as the shareholder, then assigned Sunarso as the President Director of PT. Pegadaian (Persero). R. Sophia Alizsa’s appointment as Director at BRI was not surprising. She is a career executive at BRI and has held various important positions, including Head of Division/Executive Vice President of BRI’s Micro Business Network Division (2010-2011), Head of Division/Executive Vice President of BRI’s Retail Business Network Division (2011-2014), and Branch Leader/Executive Vice President of BRI’s Special Branch Office (2014-2015). In 2015, R. Sophia Alizsa was assigned as the Director of Operations and Network at Perum Jamkrindo.
I. Rusdonobanu, the Acting Director of Perum Jamkrindo, expressed his gratitude for R. Sophia Alizsa’s dedication during her time at Perum Jamkrindo. "Ms. Sophia, congratulations on your new role at BRI. We feel both a sense of loss and pride," Rusdono said.
