The Perusahaan Umum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Perum Jamkrindo) held a ceremony to commemorate the 89th Mother’s Day on Friday, December 22, 2017. The event was officiated by Randi Anto, the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, accompanied by the Director of Business Guarantee, Amin Mas’udi, the Director of Operations and Network, Kadar Wisnuwarman, the Director of Human Resources, General Affairs, and Compliance, Sulis Usdoko, the Director of Finance, Investment, and Risk Management, I. Rusdonobanu, as well as the Board of Directors of PT. Penjaminan Jamkrindo Syariah, the subsidiary of Perum Jamkrindo.
Hundreds of officials and employees of Perum Jamkrindo and Jamkrindo Syariah solemnly participated in the ceremony held at the back yard of the Perum Jamkrindo head office, Kemayoran, Jakarta. On this occasion, Randi Anto read the speech from the Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia.
“Every year, the celebration of Mother's Day is held to honor and appreciate the struggle of Indonesian women, who have fought alongside men in gaining independence and working to improve the quality of life for society,” said Randi Anto.
The determination and struggle of women to achieve independence were driven by the ideals and spirit of unity toward an independent, safe, peaceful, just, and prosperous Indonesia, as declared in the first Indonesian Women’s Congress on December 22, 1928, in Yogyakarta.
This event marked a historical milestone for the Indonesian nation, and it is commemorated annually, both domestically and abroad. The government’s commitment is further proven with the issuance of Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 316 of 1959, which officially designated December 22 as Mother’s Day and a National Day, though not a public holiday.
