As Perum Jamkrindo approaches its 48th anniversary, it continues to grow as a driving force in Indonesia's guarantee industry. One of the key events marking this milestone is the Roadshow for the Jamkrindo Startup Challenge (JSC), a competition aimed at fostering food security businesses within the startup community.
The JSC, held at the Perum Jamkrindo Head Office on Monday, April 30, 2018, is not only a means to socialize Jamkrindo's role to startup entrepreneurs but also to discover potential startups that will be mentored and become Jamkrindo's guaranteed partners and SMEs under Jamkrindo's guidance.
The event was attended by Kadar Wisnuwarman, Operational and Network Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Amin Mas'udi, Business Guarantee Director, I. Rusdonobanu, Director of Finance, Investment, and Risk Management, as well as enthusiastic UMKM participants joining the JSC Roadshow.
In his speech, Kadar Wisnuwarman explained that the JSC roadshow started with a series of events in 5 cities: Depok (April 4), Semarang (April 17), Yogyakarta (April 18), Surabaya (April 23), and concluded in Jakarta (April 30) at the Jamkrindo building. The next phase of JSC will be the bootcamp, where 10 selected startups will undergo intensive business coaching in Jakarta.
“After the bootcamp, we will have the final judging to select the top 3 startups, and they will be announced during the peak event of Jamkrindo's 48th Anniversary. The winners will receive a total prize and loan facilities worth Rp 330 million,” explained Kadar Wisnuwarman.
In conjunction with the event, Jamkrindo also launched its logo for the 48th Anniversary with the theme “Kemilau Untuk Negeri (Radiance for the Nation),” which reflects the company’s vision of empowering UMKM across Indonesia to support national economic growth.
The logo features three lines that represent Jamkrindo's Tridharma. These lines form the number "4" in the design. The light blue color represents the company's foundation, while the leftward dark blue line signifies Jamkrindo's efforts to reach UMKM from various backgrounds. The dark blue horizontal line reflects the stability and success of the company. The "8" shape signifies infinity, symbolizing the company's lasting commitment to the people.
Separately, Randi Anto, President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, explained that since its establishment in 1970, the company has contributed significantly to the advancement of UMKM in Indonesia.
“This aligns with our company's mission to provide comprehensive, quality services that benefit the nation,” Randi Anto remarked.
He further explained that "Kemilau Untuk Negeri" represents Jamkrindo’s commitment to bringing positive changes, driven by innovation, social values, and collaboration to ensure sustainable growth.
“Kemilau Untuk Negeri also symbolizes outstanding growth through productive and proactive actions that achieve goals via effective, efficient, customer-oriented activities, and strong team solidarity,” he added.
At the same event, Mumamad Solihin, Chair of the 48th Anniversary Committee of Perum Jamkrindo, announced that this year’s celebrations will be filled with various activities, including the launch of the anniversary logo and JSC3 competition, BUMDes mentoring, futsal matches with partners, MURI record-breaking attempt, sports competitions across units in Indonesia, social service activities, cataract surgery charity, blood donation, Jamkrindo Peduli Pendidikan (Jamkrindo Cares for Education), journalistic photography competition, themed photo and video competitions, innovation competitions, writing competitions, Ramadan activities, Jamkrindo Talent Show, Jamkrindo in Melody, and the grand anniversary event, “Pesta UMKM Perum Jamkrindo” (UMKM Festival) with the participation of employees’ families.
