JAKARTA – As a form of Perum Jamkrindo's concern for the wider community in need during Ramadan and ahead of the Idul Fitri holiday this year, Perum Jamkrindo organized a series of social activities, including distributing free basic food packages and providing assistance to orphans. The distribution of food packages and aid for orphans is part of a series of social activities to celebrate the company’s 48th anniversary, which falls on July 1, 2018.
The President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Randi Anto, mentioned that the distribution of free food packages and assistance to orphaned children was conducted simultaneously at all work unit offices across Indonesia. This was also held in conjunction with the Ramadan safari event organized by the Board of Directors at several Perum Jamkrindo branch offices.
A total of 4,800 free food packages were distributed, and 3,470 children received aid. At the headquarters, 500 packages were given out, while the rest were distributed across Semarang, Banjarmasin, Mataram, Bandung, Sorong, Malang, Medan, Jambi, and Pontianak. “This activity is proof that Perum Jamkrindo, as one of the BUMNs, can bring benefits to the community around it,” he said.
In addition to providing aid to orphans and free food packages, Perum Jamkrindo also conducted a variety of other social activities to celebrate the company's 48th anniversary, such as free cataract surgeries in Sumedang, blood donations, and the Jamkrindo Peduli Education program, which will break the MURI record by distributing 39,000 education packages for elementary schools, to be distributed simultaneously across Indonesia on June 26, 2018.
Perum Jamkrindo is the only BUMN operating in the guarantee sector. In addition, Perum Jamkrindo continues to develop various guarantee products to further reinforce its role in the development of UMKM in Indonesia, including guarantees for peer-to-peer (P2P) lending while maintaining the company’s vision to become the leading guarantee company that supports the development of the national economy.
In 2017, Perum Jamkrindo recorded a profit of IDR 1.02 trillion, up from IDR 941.4 billion the previous year. The company's assets also grew from IDR 13.4 trillion in 2016 to IDR 14.6 trillion in 2017.
Perum Jamkrindo also received the "Unqualified Opinion" (WTP) for its financial report for 2017, based on the audit results from the Public Accounting Firm Hertanto, Grace, Karunawan (HGK), a member of TIAG, released on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
In terms of implementing good corporate governance (GCG), Perum Jamkrindo, under the leadership of President Director Randi Anto, achieved a “very good” qualification and received an AA Plus (Double A Plus, Stable Outlook) rating based on certification from PEFINDO (Credit Rating Agency).
In 2018, Perum Jamkrindo continues to improve by prioritizing efficiency and effectiveness in facing greater business challenges, requiring all elements within the company to be more prepared in executing the business, without leaving behind its core competency in the UMKMK sector.
