JAKARTA - A total of 10 startups fiercely competed in the final judging of the Jamkrindo Startup Challenge (JSC) 2018, held on the 10th floor of the Perum Jamkrindo Building, Friday, July 13, 2018. The event was officially opened by the Director of Operations and Network of Perum Jamkrindo, Kadar Wisnuwarman, and was also attended by the Director of Finance, Investment, and Risk Management of Perum Jamkrindo, I. Rusdonobanu.
In his speech, Kadar Wisnuwarman explained that the Jamkrindo Startup Challenge (JSC) 2018 is a form of Perum Jamkrindo's commitment to supporting the development of startups. The goal of this competition is to provide support and nurture startup companies that can address Indonesia’s future challenges, particularly in the food security sector. "Out of the 30 selected startups, 10 were chosen to participate in business incubation training activities," he said.
During the final judging, the 10 finalists presented their businesses to the judging panel. The panel of judges for this event included: I. Rusdonobanu (Director of Finance, Investment, and Risk Management of Jamkrindo), Kadar Wisnuwarman (Director of Operations and Network of Jamkrindo), Fadjar Hutomo (Deputy of Access to Financing from Bekraf), and Andreas Senjaya (Cofounder and CEO of Igrow).
After the judging process, the top 3 startups with the highest scores will be selected as the winners of the Jamkrindo Startup Challenge (JSC) 2018, with a total prize and facilities amounting to IDR 330,000,000.
The winners of the JSC 2018 will be announced during the grand celebration of Perum Jamkrindo’s 48th Anniversary on July 21, 2018. "We are very pleased because the participants who passed today’s judging stage have creative and innovative ideas in addressing food security challenges," said Kadar.
The judging criteria included business prospects, innovation, and the ability to accelerate quickly, which will be assessed by external evaluators. "The food security theme was deliberately chosen by Perum Jamkrindo to support the government’s national food security program," he concluded.
