JAKARTA - Perum Jamkrindo received recognition from the Museum of World Records (MURI) for its social action of distributing tens of thousands of educational support packages, including textbooks, school uniforms, stationery, and knowledge books, as part of the Gerakan Jamkrindo Peduli Pendidikan (GJPP) initiative.

The appreciation was awarded in the form of a World Record Certificate presented by the Chairman of MURI, Jaya Suprana, at the peak celebration of Perum Jamkrindo’s 48th Anniversary at Ecovention, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Jakarta, on Saturday, July 21, 2018.

Perum Jamkrindo’s President Director, Randi Anto, stated that GJPP is a form of Perum Jamkrindo’s concern and sympathy for the education sector, as well as a commitment to contributing to the intellectual development of the nation's children.

A total of approximately 53,000 items were packaged into 30,000 educational support packages, distributed to 66 Elementary Schools (SD) and 66 Junior High Schools (SMP). "This educational assistance is expected to alleviate the burden on students for the new academic year. This is Perum Jamkrindo’s initiative to play a role in improving the quality of human resources in Indonesia through the education sector," said Randi Anto.

GJPP is a special activity for Perum Jamkrindo, as it also involved all employees of the company to voluntarily contribute to the educational assistance. The assistance was distributed simultaneously on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 10:00 AM WIB in various regions, starting from 9 regional offices, the Jakarta KCK office, and 56 branch offices of Perum Jamkrindo. Specifically, 6,000 educational support packages were distributed through the company’s central office. Symbolically, the central office distributed the assistance at SD and SMP Al Irsyad Al-Islamiyah in Jakarta.

The Jamkrindo Peduli Pendidikan activity was part of the celebrations for Perum Jamkrindo’s 48th Anniversary, which was observed on July 1. In addition to this, Perum Jamkrindo also held other social service activities, including providing free cataract surgery for 70 people in Sumedang Regency, West Java, a blood donation drive, and distributing 4,800 food packages and financial assistance to 3,470 orphaned children.

In an effort to build synergy among State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Perum Jamkrindo also provided facilities and equipment for 21 reading parks in various regions of Indonesia. These reading parks support learning activities for Elementary, Junior High, and Senior High Schools.

Perum Jamkrindo, a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) specializing in credit guarantee services, offers both program and non-program products. Government program products include Credit Guarantee for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (KUR), the Affordable Home Ownership Credit (KPR) under the Liquidity Facility for Housing Finance (FLPP) scheme, and Warehouse Receipt System (Sistem Resi Gudang) guarantees. Non-program products include general credit financing guarantees, micro-financing guarantees, construction and procurement guarantees, multi-purpose financing guarantees, goods distribution guarantees, bank guarantees/counter guarantees, surety bonds, credit guarantees for BPR/BPRS, custom bonds, cargo agency guarantees, invoice financing guarantees, warehouse receipt subsidy scheme guarantees, and fintech guarantees. Additionally, Perum Jamkrindo also conducts UMKM credit rating assessments.

Currently, Perum Jamkrindo has a network of 9 regional offices, 1 special branch office, 56 branch offices, and 16 service unit offices (KUP). In 2017, Perum Jamkrindo recorded assets of IDR 14.6 trillion, growing from IDR 13.4 trillion in 2016. Perum Jamkrindo also earned a "Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian" (WTP) audit opinion for its 2017 financial statements, as certified by the Public Accounting Firm Hertanto, Grace, Karunawan (HGK), member of TIAG, published on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. In terms of implementing good corporate governance (GCG), Perum Jamkrindo under the leadership of President Director Randi Anto achieved a “Very Good” qualification and received an AA Plus (Double A Plus, Stable Outlook) rating from PEFINDO (Credit Rating Agency).
