Jamkrindo Again Distributes Logistic Assistance to Palu and Donggala

Perum Jamkrindo has once again distributed logistical aid to the disaster victims in Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi. This fifth aid delivery took place on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, and included a volunteer team sent on October 11, 2018.

This series of aid deliveries was conducted as a demonstration of Perum Jamkrindo's concern and presence amidst the earthquake and tsunami disaster that struck Donggala and Palu, Central Sulawesi, on Friday (September 28, 2018), which resulted in many casualties, severe injuries, and displacement. Furthermore, most of the basic infrastructure was damaged, and the homes of the victims were completely destroyed.

Jamkrindo has been consistently sending logistical aid, with four deliveries from September 30 to Thursday, October 16, 2018. The aid was sent through several state-owned enterprises (BUMN) appointed as coordinators for the distribution of aid for the Palu and Donggala disaster, and it was directly distributed to the community in Palu. The delivery of the aid was carried out by the Branch Leader of Perum Jamkrindo Palu along with the Jamkrindo Peduli Palu-Donggala Volunteers, who were specifically sent from Jakarta.

Perum Jamkrindo's President Director, Randi Anto, hopes that the aid will be useful in alleviating the burden of the disaster victims. He also appreciates all BUMN companies working together to accelerate the recovery of Central Sulawesi. "We hope our presence is truly felt and provides benefits to the country, especially with what we are doing today to benefit the people of Central Sulawesi," said Randi Anto in Jakarta on October 16, 2018.

In this series of aid deliveries, Perum Jamkrindo did not only send logistical aid; on October 11, 2018, Perum Jamkrindo also deployed a volunteer team to assist the disaster victims in Palu, Central Sulawesi, during the recovery and reconstruction phase. The Perum Jamkrindo Peduli Palu Volunteer Team will later collaborate with the BUMN BRI Post to assist in the distribution of logistics.

"Besides helping the community, we also want this volunteer team to help ease the burden of our Perum Jamkrindo employees who were affected by the disaster," said Randi.

As is known, Perum Jamkrindo's Branch Office in Palu was one of those severely damaged due to the earthquake and tsunami in Palu, Central Sulawesi. Not only that, but some employees' homes were also severely damaged. However, fortunately, all employees were in good condition. In addition to facilitating the delivery of aid to the public, Perum Jamkrindo employees also took the initiative to raise funds independently. This initiative was solely to help the employees and the general public affected by the disaster.

"We will continue to make the best efforts for all Perum Jamkrindo employees in the affected areas. In the future, various initiatives will be carried out as a demonstration of our concern for disaster victims. Currently, the Perum Jamkrindo Palu Branch Office continues to provide guarantee services," he said.

Separately, Andri Habrin, Head of Wanni 1 Village, Tawaeli, Donggala, thanked Perum Jamkrindo for the assistance provided. He stated that the disaster in Palu and Donggala had given a very valuable lesson. "I hope this aid will bring spirit to the villagers," said Andri.
