MEDAN - The realization of People's Business Credit (KUR) distribution in North Sumatra in March reached IDR 1.05 trillion, an increase of 8.90 percent compared to February 2011. However, this realization is still below the national level, which grew by 9.09 percent.
"The national distribution of KUR up to March 2011 reached IDR 20.05 trillion, with details of IDR 17.38 trillion from six implementing banks and IDR 2.67 trillion from BPD," said the Head of Economics and Monetary Affairs of Bank Indonesia (BI) Regional North Sumatra & Aceh, Mikael Buidisatrio, this afternoon.
He added that this realization increased by 9.09 percent compared to the February 2011 position of IDR 18.38 trillion. Meanwhile, in North Sumatra, the realization of KUR in March 2011 reached IDR 1.05 trillion, an increase of 8.90 percent compared to February 2011, which was IDR 966.65 billion.
Additionally, throughout the first quarter of 2011, the realization of food security and energy credit (KKPE) in the development of beef cattle in the Langkat region reached IDR 5.73 billion, sourced from four livestock groups and one cooperative, all financed by PT Bank Sumut's Sei Rampah and Stabat branches.
Meanwhile, the realization of cattle breeding business credit (KUPS) throughout the first quarter of 2011 in North Sumatra reached a ceiling of IDR 8.74 billion, consisting of eight livestock groups with financing from PT Bank Sumut's Kisaran and Sei Rampah branches.
