As the only state-owned enterprise (BUMN) in the field of credit guarantee, Perum Jamkrindo has demonstrated its consistency in assisting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as well as cooperatives to scale up their businesses. This year, this commitment was once again realized with the commencement of a series of data collection and training activities in 6 cities across Indonesia.
The President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Randi Anto, stated that the company is committed to providing assistance to MSMEs and cooperatives. This aligns with the company's business line of channeling credit guarantees to MSMEs, both through the People's Business Credit (KUR) and non-KUR schemes.
“We are committed to consistently providing support to MSMEs. This is our commitment. This year, Perum Jamkrindo has started a series of data collection and training activities in 6 cities in Indonesia, starting with data collection and training in Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Subsequently, data collection and training for MSMEs will be held in Aceh, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Samarinda, and Surabaya,” said Randi in Jakarta on Thursday, October 25, 2018.
According to Randi Anto, supporting MSMEs is necessary so that they can scale up their businesses and contribute to the national economy. And over time, the number of MSMEs will continue to grow as we consistently provide this support.
In a separate occasion, the Head of the Risk Management, MSME Ranking, and Management Consulting Division of Perum Jamkrindo, Ceriandri Widuri, explained that data collection is conducted as part of the scoring and ranking of MSMEs. Meanwhile, training is provided to ensure the sustainability of the businesses so they are eligible for financing from financial institutions. The MSME profile will serve as a reference for Perum Jamkrindo when the MSMEs apply for credit from financial institutions.
"From the data collection and training in these 6 cities, we hope to have approximately 1,200 new MSMEs whose data can be entered into Perum Jamkrindo’s system," said Ceriandri.
