The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) organized the BUMN Cares Affordable Market together with the West Kalimantan BUMN Communication Forum, held simultaneously in 14 regencies/cities. The BUMN Cares Affordable Market started on Thursday (28/7) in the afternoon in the City of Pontianak and received an extraordinary welcome from the community. It will be held simultaneously in all regencies/cities in West Kalimantan on Saturday and Sunday, July 30–31. Today, Friday, July 29, the affordable market was held in the City of Pontianak, centered at Pontianak Timur District, Saigon Village Office, Jl. Tanjung Raya II.

The Chairman of the West Kalimantan BUMN Communication Forum, Wagio Ripto Sumarto, after directly inspecting the implementation of the BUMN Cares Affordable Market yesterday, explained that this activity is intended to stabilize the prices of basic necessities ahead of a major religious holiday, namely the upcoming Ramadan. “It will also be held to welcome Eid al-Fitr, Christmas, and New Year,” he said.

There are three commodities sold in each regency: five tons of Bulog rice, five tons of sugar, and 3,000 liters of cooking oil. “This affordable market is expected to help the community by stabilizing the prices of basic necessities in the market,” said Wagio, who also serves as the Director of HR & General Affairs of PTPN XIII. He added that the goods are sold at subsidized prices, with funding coming from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises.

A committee for the West Kalimantan Provincial BUMN Cares Affordable Market has been formed, with General Chair Sofyan Nasution from PTPN XIII, Chair I Busri from Sucofindo, and Chair II Edy from Bulog. Meanwhile, General Secretary Samsudin from Pupuk Kaltim, Secretary I Ineng from Jasa Raharja, and Secretary II Hendra from PLN; Treasurer General Saut S from Bank Mandiri, Treasurer I Turiman from BRI, and Treasurer II Helmi G from Pelindo II.

For the successful implementation of the BUMN Cares Affordable Market throughout all regencies/cities in West Kalimantan, several persons in charge have been appointed: in Bengkayang Regency, PT PLN and Perumnas; in Kapuas Hulu Regency, PT BRI; in Kayong Utara Regency, PT Jamsostek; in Ketapang Regency, PT Pusri and Pupuk Kaltim; in Kubu Raya Regency, PT Angkasa Pura II, Inhutani, and Garuda Indonesia; in Landak Regency, Perum Pegadaian and BTN; in Melawi Regency, Perum Damri; in Pontianak Regency, PT PNM; in Sambas Regency, PT Sucofindo; in Sanggau Regency, Bank Mandiri; in Sekadau Regency, Bulog, Pelindo II, and ASDP; in Sintang Regency, PT Pos Indonesia, BNI, and Jasa Indonesia; in the City of Pontianak, PTPN XIII along with Jamkrindo; and in the City of Singkawang, PT Jasa Raharja along with PT Askes.
