Perum Jamkrindo has once again stepped in to assist communities affected by disasters. This time, the company provided support to the flood victims in several regions of South Sulawesi.
The recent floods in South Sulawesi have forced many residents to evacuate as their homes were either submerged or destroyed. In an effort to alleviate the burden on the affected communities, on Friday (25/1/2019), Perum Jamkrindo delivered assistance to the victims through PT Pelabuhan Indonesia IV Makassar, which was designated as the coordinator for aid distribution in the region.
The aid was handed over by Hamim Bugi Afianto, Regional Leader IX of Perum Jamkrindo, to the management of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia IV Makassar at the South Sulawesi Flood Aid Post. The aid included essential items such as bottled water, cooking oil, instant noodles, canned fish, rice, sugar, clothing, sarongs, towels, and disposable baby diapers.
Randi Anto, the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, explained that the company’s presence is aimed at easing the burden of the flood victims. "We truly empathize with what the victims are experiencing in South Sulawesi. We hope our assistance can help ease the burden of our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster," said Randi.
Throughout 2018, Perum Jamkrindo extended help to disaster victims in various regions, including Lombok, Palu-Donggala, and Banten-Lampung, providing essential support during critical times.
