Kupang – Perum Jamkrindo continues to actively channel its contributions to the field of education. This time, the largest credit guarantee company in Indonesia provided educational assistance to SMA Negeri 7 Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), as a follow-up to the visit of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to Kupang in the middle of last year.
The symbolic handover of the assistance was carried out by Randi Anto, the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo. The total amount of assistance provided was IDR 633 million, which includes funding for building renovation, language lab rehabilitation, audio-visual equipment, and the development of a reading garden.
“This assistance is a tangible manifestation of Perum Jamkrindo’s role in improving the quality of human resources in Indonesia through the education sector,” said Randi.
With a working area covering all of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), the Kupang Branch Office of Perum Jamkrindo plays a strategic role in supporting Perum Jamkrindo’s vision to be the main choice for business actors in guarantee services to support national economic growth and equitable distribution. To date, more than thousands of MSMEs have been served by Perum Jamkrindo’s Kupang Branch Office.
The Principal of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang, Vinsensius Sasi, expressed his appreciation for Perum Jamkrindo’s initiative to advance education in Kupang. He mentioned that there are 922 students enrolled at SMA Negeri 7 Kupang. “This assistance is very beneficial for our students,” said Sasi.
In addition to providing support in the education sector, Perum Jamkrindo has previously collaborated on a house renovation program for former fighters of East Timor integration in Kupang, Adonara, and Larantuka, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), in cooperation with other SOEs.
Regarding partnership programs, Randi mentioned that Perum Jamkrindo had actively contributed to the partnership program for cashew farmers in Ilepadung, Lewolema District, East Flores Regency. Through business mentoring and the provision of partnership credit facilities to the St Antonio Cashew Farmers Group, Perum Jamkrindo has helped significantly improve the welfare of the local community. “The business mentoring and empowerment model for the St Antonio cashew farmers group has become a role model for community empowerment in other areas due to its significant impact on alleviating the poverty of underserved communities,” said Randi.
